And he said to him, Thus says Yahweh, Since you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? therefore you shall not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but shall surely die.

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is Yahweh, the God of Elijah, even he? and when he had smitten the waters, they were divided here and there; and Elisha went over.

Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay your debt, and you and your sons live from the rest.

And she said to her husband, Look now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God, that passes by us continually.

And he said, At this season, when the time comes round, you shall embrace a son. And she said, No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your slave.

And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut [the door] on him, and went out.

And she called to her husband, and said, Send me, I pray you, one of the attendants, and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.

So she went, and came to the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her far off, that he said to Gehazi his attendant, Look, yonder is the Shunammite:

And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came near to thrust her away; but the man of God said, Let her alone: for her soul is vexed inside her; and Yahweh has hid it from me, and has not told me.

So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.

And there came a man from Baal-shalishah, and brought the man of God bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley, and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And he said, Give to the people, that they may eat.

And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to recover a man of his leprosy? but consider, I pray you, and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.

And it was so, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Why have you rent your clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.

But Naaman was angry, and went away, and said, Look, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of Yahweh his God, and wave his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

Then he went down, and dipped [himself] seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh came again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him; and he said, Look now, I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray you, take a present of your slave.

But Gehazi the attendant of Elisha the man of God, said, Look, my master has spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: as Yahweh lives, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.

And the man of God said, Where did it fall? And he showed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in there, and made the iron to swim.

And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, Beware that you do not pass such a place; for the Syrians are coming down there.

And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of; and he saved himself there, not once nor twice.
