And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of Yahweh his God:

and commanded Judah to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.

For he said to Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars; the land is yet before us, because we have sought Yahweh our God; we have sought him, and he has given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

And Asa cried to Yahweh his God, and said, Yahweh, there is none besides you to help, between the mighty and him that has no strength: help us, O Yahweh our God; for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude. O Yahweh, you are our God; don't let common man prevail against you.

And the Spirit of God came on Azariah the son of Oded:

Now for a long season Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law:

But when in their distress they turned to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God vexed them with all adversity.

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Yahweh his God was with him.

And they entered into the covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;

and that whoever would not seek Yahweh, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.

And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and haven't relied on Yahweh your God, therefore the host of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand.

but sought to the God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king.

And Micaiah said, As Yahweh lives, what my God says, that I will speak.

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they turned about to fight against him: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and Yahweh helped him; and God moved them [to depart] from him.

Nevertheless there are good things found in you, in that you have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God.

And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again among the people from Beer-sheba to the hill-country of Ephraim, and brought them back to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.

Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.
