This will be written for the generation to come,And a people yet to be created will praise Yah.

Yet He saved them for the sake of His name,That He might make His might known.

The arrogant utterly scoff at me,Yet I do not turn aside from Your law.

My soul is continually in my hand,Yet I do not forget Your law.

The wicked have laid a snare for me,Yet I have not wandered from Your precepts.

I am small and despised,Yet I do not forget Your precepts.

Trouble and anguish have found me,Yet Your commandments are my delight.

Many are my persecutors and my adversaries,Yet I do not turn aside from Your testimonies.

"Many times they have assailed me from my youth up;Yet they have not prevailed against me.

For Yahweh is high,Yet He sees the lowly,But the one who exalts himself He knows from afar.

Your eyes have seen my unshaped substance;And in Your book all of them were writtenThe days that were formed for me,When as yet there was not one of them.

Though He scoffs at the scoffers,Yet He gives grace to the humble.

While He had not yet made the earth and the fields outside,Nor the first dust of the world.

There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more,And there is one who holds back what is rightly due, and yet results only in want.

"They struck me, but I did not become ill;They beat me, but I did not know it.When shall I awake?I will seek yet another."

There is a generation that is clean in its own eyes,Yet is not washed from its filthiness.

The shephanim are not a mighty people,Yet they make their houses in the cliff;

The locusts have no king,Yet all of them go out in rank;

The lizard you may grasp with the hands,Yet it is in kings' palaces.

All the rivers go into the sea,Yet the sea is not full.To the place where the rivers go,There they continually go.
