"Yet even in those days," declares Yahweh, "I will not make you a complete destruction.

Do you not fear Me?' declares Yahweh.‘Do you not tremble in My presence?For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea,A perpetual statute, so it cannot cross over it.Though the waves toss, yet they cannot prevail;Though they roar, yet they cannot cross over it.

Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart and went backward and not forward.

Yet they did not listen to Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck; they did more evil than their fathers.

"Behold, the days are coming," declares Yahweh, "that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet uncircumcised—

Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but walked, each one, in the stubbornness of his evil heart; therefore I brought on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not.'"

Therefore thus says Yahweh, "Behold, I am bringing calamity on them which they will not be able to get out of; and they will cry to Me, yet I will not listen to them.

Why are You like a man confused,Like a mighty man who cannot save?Yet You are in our midst, O Yahweh,And we are called by Your name;Do not leave us!"

Therefore thus says Yahweh concerning the prophets who are prophesying in My name, although it was not I who sent them—yet they keep saying, ‘There will be no sword or famine in this land'—by that sword and famine those prophets shall meet their end!

She who bore seven sons languishes;Her breathing is labored.Her sun has set while it was yet day;She has been shamed and humiliated.So I will give over their survivors to the swordBefore their enemies," declares Yahweh.

Woe to me, my mother, that you have borne meAs a man of strife and a man of contention to all the land!I have not lent, nor have men lent money to me,Yet everyone curses me.

Can man make gods for himself?Yet they are not gods!

Yet they did not listen or incline their ears, but stiffened their necks in order not to listen or receive discipline.

Yet You, O Yahweh, knowAll their deadly counsel against me;Do not atone for their iniquityOr blot out their sin from before You.But may they be overthrown before You;Deal with them in the time of Your anger!

Yet, O Yahweh of hosts, You who test the righteous,Who see the mind and the heart;Let me see Your vengeance on them,For to You I have revealed my cause.

For thus says Yahweh concerning the house of the king of Judah:"You are like Gilead to Me,Like the summit of Lebanon;Yet most assuredly I will make you like a wilderness,Like cities which are not inhabited.

"As I live," declares Yahweh, "even though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were a signet ring on My right hand, yet I would pull you off;

Behold, I am against those who have prophesied lying dreams," declares Yahweh, "and who recounted them and led My people astray by their lying and reckless boasting; yet I did not send them, and I did not command them, and they do not furnish this people the slightest benefit," declares Yahweh.

Yet you have not listened to Me," declares Yahweh, "in order that you might provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands to your own evil demise.

Yet hear now this word which I am about to speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people!
