(Strong's #4979 — Noun Neuter — schoinion — skhoy-nee'-on )

a diminutive of schoinos, "a rush," is used of the small cords of which Christ made a scourge, John 2:15; of the "ropes" of a boat, Acts 27:32 . See CORD.
