constable and viceroy of Jerusalem during the first Crusade, was of a noble family of Vivarais. - He set out for the Holy. Land in 1096 with Raymond, count of Toulouse. His exploits were of value to him, besides the viceroyalty of Jerusalem, and the principality of Sidon and of Csesarea, which he transmitted to his children.
