a Presbyterian minister, was a native of Pennsylvania. After his graduation from Princeton College, he was for some time engaged as a teacher in Charleston, S. C. He removed to James Island, taking with him a number of young men, with a view to superintend their education. He also became pastor of the Presbyterian Church on that island, where he died in 1781.
