a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, was born in Brunswick County, Va., June 13, 1804. His literary and religious education was greatly neglected in early life, but he was naturally affable and winning. In 1825 he entered the Virginia Conference and labored diligently nearly forty years. He died June 23, 1870. Mr. Arnold was remarkable for his uniform, cheerful Christian experience.
