a minister of the Society of Friends, was born at Darlington, England, in 1779. " Integrity and simplicity adorned his Christian walk, and in him the poor and afflicted found a faithful and sympathizing friend." On June 9,1844, being the day previous to the time appointed for his leaving home as a missionary to Norway, he went to a meeting in usual health, rose to address the assembled company, but before a word was uttered fell lifeless to the floor See (Lond.)
