a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born at Greifswalde in 1606. He studied at Rostock and Kbnigsberg, and was appointed in 1632 professor of logic and metaphysics at his native place. In 1650 he was made professor of theology and pastor of St. James. In 1653 he took the degree of doctor of divinity, and was appointed in 1658 general superintendent of Pomerania and Rugen. He died Sept. 23, 1674. He wrote, Disputationes Logicoe et Theologicoe: - Oratio contra Photinianos: Analysis. Logica Epistolce Pauli ad Romanos.
