a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born near Concord, Pa:, Feb. 13, 1806. He experienced religion in his twentieth year, and in 1835 joined the Baltimore Conference. In 1861, through illness, he was compelled to retire from active service, and taking a supernumerary relation, he remained such to the close of his life, Feb. 15, 1870.
