a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Stafford County;Va., June 19, 1801. He graduated at St. Mary's College, Md., and in 1832 moved to St. Louis, Mo., and entered upon the practice of medicine. In 1839 he moved to Floydsburg, Ky., where he received license to preach, and in 1840 entered the Kentucky Conference. In 1860 he was transferred to the Louisiana Conference, and appointed to the Concordia Mission, where he labored until the work was broken up by the war. In 1865 he resumed his service, and was appointed to Waterproof and St. Joseph, where he continued until within a few days of his decease, which occurred Aug. 28, 1867.
