an English Congregational minister, was born in Ayrshire, of a pious and long-lived ancestry. He completed an academical course at the University of Glasgow, with a view to the ministry in the Church of Scotland, but he united with the Congregational Union of Scotland in 1812. He was stationed at Blackburn, where he preached till 1856, when he retired to Uphall, North Britain, where he died in September, 1863. Mr. Boag compiled the Imperial Lexicon. See (Lond.)
