a Protestant theologian, was born Nov. 28, 1802, at Strasbnrg, where he died as doctor of theology, Aug. 12, 1831. He wrote, Sur la Connexion de la Vie Contemplative, Ascetique, et Monastique chez les Indous es les Peuples: Boudhistes, avec les Phinomenes Semblables que Presente l'Histoire de l'Islamisme et du Christianisme (Strasburg, 1831): — Anleitung zum Lesen der heiligen Schrift (Tubingen, 1830).
