a Protestant theologian, was born November 15, 1754, at Gussenstadt, and died at Stuttgart, July 28, 1813, where he had been rector of the gymnasium since 1807. He wrote, Versuch fiber Religion und Dogmatik (Halle, 1783-84, 2 volumes): — Erzahlungen und Beurtheilungen der wichtigsten Veranderungen, etc. (ibid. 1790): — Ueber den Grund unseres Glaubens an Gott und unsere Erkenntniss von ihm (Stuttgart, 1802).
