a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Halifax County, Virginia, about 1771. He experienced conversion. in his twenty-first year, and, after discharging the duties of a local preacher for twelve years, was in 1818 admitted into the Kentucky Conference, wherein he served until his death, Dec. 12, 1823.
