a Free-will Baptist minister, was born in 1807. He became a Christian in 1822. For the purpose of fitting himself for the ministry, he,went to the Baptist Institution at Hamilton, N. Y. After completing his studies he was engaged in teaching for a few years. He was ordained at Ames, N. Y., in 1841. He remained as pastor of the Church in Ames, interesting himself not only in his pastoral work, but also in the religious and benevolent enterprises of the day. His death occurred April 14,1848.
