an English Baptist minister, was born in 1741, and in 1765 was ordained as pastor of the Church at Evesham, in Worcestershire. This was his only pastorate, and was continued for more than sixty-three years. Such was the vigor of his physical constitution, that he was able to preach till within a very few weeks of his death, which occurred July 1,1828. He maintained a high Christian character, being distinguished for his integrity, Christian affection, benevolence, and fidelity to the duties of the sacred office.
