Jewish writer of Castile, in Spain, was born in 1360, and died at Penjafiel in 1463. Although not very learned, he was called the Gaon of Castile. He is the author of The Book of the Ways of the Talmud, דרכי התלמוד, a methology of the Talmud, in which he lays down general rules for the understanding of its style.
