a Presbyterian minister, was born in Vermont in 1798. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1821, and from Andover Theological Seminary in 1826, having been from 1821 to 1823 principal of Lawrence Academy, Grotoi, Mass. He was ordained February 19, 1829; was pastor at Deering, N.H., from 1830 to 1834; at Calais, Maine, from 1834 to 1837 at Byron, N.Y., from 1839 to 1843; stated supply at Varysburgh, in 1845; at Newstead in 1846; and at Fulton, Wisconsin, until his death, December 15, 1847.
