an Italian religious author, was born at Milan in 1571. He entered the Jesuit order, was employed in the German missions, and distinguished himself by his learning and talent in controversy. He died April 10, 1639, leaving various works in Latin and Italian, such as Vita Beatae Mariae Virginis (Dillingen, 1612; Milan, 1620): — Del Verbo di Dio Umanato (Milan, 1624): — Miscellanea Varia (ibid. 1623): — also a number of MSS.
