a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was born in Philadelphia, Feb. 16, 1817, and entered the itinerancy in the New Jersey Conference in 1844. He died at Bordentown, N. J., April 11, 1856. Mr. Corbit's ministry, in the most important stations of his Conference, was eminently successful. "A sublimity caught from long converse with the Bible and the Christian poets ran through all his thoughts. He was accomplished, eloquent, and laborious, and gave full proof of his ministry.
