a Baptist minister, was born at Hanever, Massachusetts, November 13,1809. Without a college education, he took the full course of study at the Newton Theological Institution (1838-41); and was pastor of churches in West Dedham, Massachusetts, Woonsocket, R.I., East Killingly and Lyme, Connecticut, and Lake Village, N.H., where he died, in 1865.
