an Armenian abbot, was born in 1043, in the province of Daron. He was noted for his profound knowledge of philosophy and theology. He died in 1123, leaving a letter, which he wrote (1101) in favor of the Monophysites against Theophistes (printed at Constantinople in 1752; Galanus has inserted from it about twenty passages in his Conciliatio): also a Treatise against the Greek Church: A Commentary on Daniel.
