an English Congregational minister, was born at Coventry, July 3, 1791. He joined the Church at the age of sixteen; entered Hoxton Academy about a year later; was ordained at Wellingborough when about twenty-one years old; labored eight years at that place; removed into Devonshire, where he remained some time without a charge; served at Plymouth eight years; was pastor at Ashburton eleven years; resided some time at Petworth; preached at Putney six years, and finally retired to Leamington, where he died, March 13, 1872.
