a German theologian, was born at Elze, August 27, 1715. He studied at Helmstadt; was appointed in 1740 pastor at Garmessen, and became in 1753 superintendent at Luneburg, where he died March 2, 1783. His principal works are, Andachtige Betrachtungen, etc. (Hildesheim, 1747): — Sunden der Menschen (Lemgo, 1748): — Heilige Wahrheiten des Glaubens, etc. (Luneburg, eod.): — Erbauliche Betrachtungen.
