Conder suggests (Tent Work in Palest. 2:336) the present ruin Aiteun, laid down on the Ordnance Map at eight miles south by east from Beit-Jibim, and described in the accompanying Memoirs (3:278) as "a mound with foundations; a square cell is cut in the rock opposite the ruin on the south."
