an English Jesuit, was born at Foston, Leicestershire, in 1544, and died at Ulna, in Lithuania, in 1591. He was educated at Merton College, Oxford, and thence went successively to the Jesuits' College at Louvain, to Paris, Munich, and Rome, where he was appointed divinity reader in the English Jesuits' College.
