a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born in Saxony in 1599; studied at Wittenberg, was in 1625 court preacher to the widow of the elector of Brandenburg, in 1630 superintendent and member of consistory at Ctistrin, and died October 17, 1676, leaving, Adversaria Sacra: Theatrum Theologico-Politico Historicum: Promptuarium Biblicum: Theosophiae Mysticae Nucleus: Regnum Christi et Diaboli Mysticum: Christus Mysticus.
