a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born January 13, 1752, at Frankfort-on-the-Main, and died there, May 7, 1807. He published, Der Schriftforscher (Leipsic, 1787-89, 3 volumes): — Luther's Kleiner Katechismus (ibid. 1791): — Reden bei der Vorbereitung zur christlichen Feier des heiligen Abendmahls (ibid. 1800).
