a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born March 1, 1595, at Blaxen, in Oldenburg. He studied at Giessen, was in 1619 conrector at Oldenburg, in 1626 professor at Marburg, in 1646 superintendent at Lubeck, and died February 17, 1671.
