a learned English divine, was born at Norwich in 1761; studied at Trinity College, Oxford, of which he became fellow, and afterwards obtained the living of Charlton, Gloucestershire. He was drowned, while bathing, in. 825. His principal works are: History, the Interpreter of Prophecy (London, 4th ed, with additional notes, 1801, 2 vols. .8vo): — Sermons preached, 1790, at the Lectures founded by the late Rev.
