D.D., an eminent Scotch divine, was born at Paisley, Scotland, in 1757. He was one of the founders of the London Missionary Society. He died in 1825. Dr. Love published in 1796 Addresses to the People of Otaheite, republished after his death; also 2 volumes of Sermons and Lectures in 1829; a vol. of Letters in 1838; 34 Sermons, preached 1784-5, in 1853.
