an Episcopal minister, was born in West Newbury, Massachusetts, in 1803, and graduated from Harvard College in 1830. He was ordained by the bishop of Connecticut in 1836, and was called to be rector of the Church in Portland, where he remained in the discharge of his ministerial and parochial duties for the long period of thirty-seven years. Having resigned in 1873, he did not accept another pastorate, but after a time removed to his native place, where he resided about ten years, and died August 16, 1883.
