Pagit (Or Paget), Ephraim

an English divine, son of Eusebius, was born in London in 1585, and was educated at Christ Church, Oxford. He obtained the living of St. Edmund the King, in Lombard Street, London, of which he was deprived at the Rebellion. He retired to Deptford, where he died in 1647. Pagit was noted as a linguist. He wrote Christianographia, or a Description of the Sundrie Sorts of Christians in the World not subject to the Pope, etc. (London, 1635): Hearesiographia, or a Description of the Heresies of Later Times (1645): Sermon on St. Matthew 7:15 (1645).
