a Lutheran divine, was born at Bremervorde Dec. 19, 1758. Having been teacher for a number of years at Stade, he was appointed, in 1814, general superintendent of the duchies of Bremen and Verden, and died March 14, 1839. He wrote, Symboloe ad Interpretationem Sacri Codicis (GBtt. 1782): — Theologumena (Hamb. 1824, 2 vols.): — Theologische Miscellen (ibid. 1816-19, 4 vols.): — Des h.
