a Presbyterian minister, was born at Newburgh, N.Y., April 4, 1820. He joined the Church at the age of eighteen, graduated from Union College in 1839, and from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1843, went as a missionary to India, returned after thirty years of labor, was pastor at Millerstown, N.Y., from 1874 to 1876, and died February 7, 1884.
