Zahalon, Jacob ben-Isaac

a Jewish writer of Rome, was born in 1630, and died at Ferrara in 1693. Besides a large medical work), אוצר החיים, he left, in MS., a commentary on Isaiah, entitled יעקב ס ישועות : a commentary on Ecclesiastes, קהלת יעקב : disquisitions on Daniel, על דניאל דרושים : homiletical expositions on the Pentateuch, ליעקב תתן אמת : a commentary on the Song of Songs, ירנה צהלה, etc. See Fiirst, Bibl.
