וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ

nā·ḵə·rî·yō·wṯ

נָכְרִיּ֛וֹת

and shall they

וּֽמְזַבְּח֖וֹת

lê·lō·hê·hen.

לֵאלֹהֵיהֶֽן׃

And was angry

way·yiṯ·’an·nap̄

וַיִּתְאַנַּ֥ף

with Solomon

בִּשְׁלֹמֹ֑ה

that had appeared

pa·‘ă·mā·yim.

פַּעֲמָֽיִם׃

And had commanded

that he should not

לְבִ֨לְתִּי־

Why the LORD

שָׁמַ֙רְתָּ֙

and my statutes

wə·ḥuq·qō·ṯay,

I have commanded

you I will surely

ham·mam·lā·ḵāh

הַמַּמְלָכָה֙

mê·‘ā·le·ḵā,

and will give

ū·nə·ṯat·tî·hā

וּנְתַתִּ֖יהָ

it to your servant

lə·‘aḇ·de·ḵā.

לְעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃

Notwithstanding

in your days

בְּיָמֶ֙יךָ֙

’e·‘ĕ·śen·nāh,

אֶעֱשֶׂ֔נָּה

to the end that

it for David

of your father

it out of the hand

[but] I will tear

’eq·rā·‘en·nāh.

אֶקְרָעֶֽנָּה׃

ham·mam·lā·ḵāh

הַמַּמְלָכָה֙

do tear away

[but] will give

to the end that

of my servant

and to the end that

of sake and for Jerusalem

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם

I have chosen

bā·ḥā·rə·tî.

בָּחָֽרְתִּי׃

And stirred up

an adversary

hā·’ă·ḏō·mî;

For it came to pass

ba·‘ă·lō·wṯ,

ha·ḥă·lā·lîm;

and after he had struck

וַאֲנָשִׁ֨ים

’ă·ḏō·mî·yîm

אֲדֹמִיִּ֜ים

וַיָּקֻ֙מוּ֙

mim·miḏ·yān,

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

and they took

and they came

and that gave

and him food

and him land

in the sight

so that he gave

of his own wife

תַּחְפְּנֵ֥יס

hag·gə·ḇî·rāh.

הַגְּבִירָֽה׃

wat·tiḡ·mə·lê·hū

וַתִּגְמְלֵ֣הוּ

בְּמִצְרַ֗יִם

תְּשַׁלְּחֵֽנִי׃

And stirred him up

הֲדַדְעֶ֥זֶר

from his lord

And he gathered

וַיִּקְבֹּ֤ץ

and they went

way·yê·lə·ḵū

way·yê·šə·ḇū

וַיֵּ֣שְׁבוּ

way·yim·lə·ḵū

וַֽיִּמְלְכ֖וּ

bə·ḏam·mā·śeq.

בְּדַמָּֽשֶׂק׃

an adversary

lə·yiś·rā·’êl

לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙

[did] and he abhorred

bə·yiś·rā·’êl,

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

וַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְ

And Jeroboam

wə·yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām

וְיָרָבְעָם֩

haṣ·ṣə·rê·ḏāh,

of whose mother

[was] Zeruah

and even he lifted up

against the king

בַּמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

And this [was]

he lifted up

against the king

a Jeroboam [was]

and he appointed

And it came to pass

when Jeroboam

וְיָֽרָבְעָ֖ם

of Jerusalem

mî·rū·šā·lim;

מִירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

haš·šî·lō·nî

הַשִּׁילֹנִ֨י

that the prophet him

had clad himself

מִתְכַּסֶּה֙

בְּשַׂלְמָ֣ה

himself with a new

and they two

וּשְׁנֵיהֶ֥ם

of them were alone

in the field

בַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃

וַיִּתְפֹּ֣שׂ

בַּשַּׂלְמָ֥ה

ha·ḥă·ḏā·šāh

way·yiq·rā·‘e·hā,

וַיִּ֨קְרָעֶ֔הָ

lə·yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām,

לְיָֽרָבְעָ֔ם

ham·mam·lā·ḵāh

הַמַּמְלָכָה֙

out of the hand

and will give

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

haš·šə·ḇā·ṭîm.

הַשְּׁבָטִֽים׃

wə·haš·šê·ḇeṭ

וְהַשֵּׁ֥בֶט

But he shall have

to the end that

for my servant

and to the end that

of sake and for Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

I have chosen

בָּחַ֣רְתִּי

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

they have forsaken me

‘ă·zā·ḇū·nî,

and have worshiped

way·yiš·ta·ḥă·wū

וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲווּ֮

lə·‘aš·tō·reṯ

לְעַשְׁתֹּרֶת֮

of the Zidonians

ū·lə·mil·kōm

וּלְמִלְכֹּ֖ם

[that that is] right

and [to keep] and my statutes

wə·ḥuq·qō·ṯay

and my judgments

ū·miš·pā·ṭay

וּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖י

[did] as David

ham·mam·lā·ḵāh

הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה

out of his hand

but I will make

’ă·ši·ṯen·nū,

אֲשִׁתֶ֗נּוּ

to the end that

of my servant

בָּחַ֣רְתִּי

and my statutes

wə·ḥuq·qō·ṯāy.

וְחֻקֹּתָֽי׃

But I will take

wə·lā·qaḥ·tî

וְלָקַחְתִּ֥י

ham·mə·lū·ḵāh

הַמְּלוּכָ֖ה

of from his son

and will give

ū·nə·ṯat·tî·hā

וּנְתַתִּ֣יהָ

haš·šə·ḇā·ṭîm.

הַשְּׁבָטִֽים׃

And to his son

to the end that

הַיָּמִ֤ים ׀

in Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim,

בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

I have chosen

בָּחַ֣רְתִּי

for Myself to put

you and you shall reign

ū·mā·laḵ·tā,

וּמָ֣לַכְתָּ֔

according to all

and shall be

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And it shall be

you will Listen to

’ă·ṣaw·we·ḵā

you and will walk

wə·hā·laḵ·tā

וְהָלַכְתָּ֣

[that is] right

by observing

ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay

and my commands

ū·miṣ·wō·ṯay,

וּמִצְוֹתַ֔י

that I will be

you and build

and will give

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

the offspring

to the end that

וַיְבַקֵּ֥שׁ

therefore to kill

yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām;

yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām,

ḇə·miṣ·ra·yim

בְמִצְרַ֖יִם

And the rest

and his wisdom

wə·ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯōw;

וְחָכְמָת֑וֹ

that the time

wə·hay·yā·mîm,

וְהַיָּמִ֗ים

that Solomon

in Jerusalem

ḇî·rū·šā·lim

בִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙

Israel [was]

אַרְבָּעִ֖ים

וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב

and was buried

way·yiq·qā·ḇêr,

וַיִּ֨קָּבֵ֔ר

וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ

in his place

תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
