lə·’î·ze·ḇel,

’ê·lî·yā·hū;

הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים

בַּמִּדְבָּר֙

וַיִּשְׁאַ֤ל

that he might die

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ׀

It is enough

than my fathers

mê·’ă·ḇō·ṯāy.

And as he lay

וַיִּשְׁכַּב֙

a juniper tree

And he looked

mə·ra·’ă·šō·ṯāw

מְרַאֲשֹׁתָ֛יו

[there was] a cake

baked on the coals

wə·ṣap·pa·ḥaṯ

And he did eat

וַיֵּ֔שְׁתְּ

and laid him down

way·yiš·kāḇ.

וַיִּשְׁכָּֽב׃

And came again

the second time

way·yig·ga‘-

[is] too great

And he arose

way·yiš·teh;

וַיִּשְׁתֶּ֑ה

in the strength

hā·’ă·ḵî·lāh

אַרְבָּעִ֥ים

wə·’ar·bā·‘îm

וְאַרְבָּעִ֣ים

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

ham·mə·‘ā·rāh

’ê·lî·yā·hū.

אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃

I have been very

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

have forsaken

your covenant

for the sons

miz·bə·ḥō·ṯe·ḵā

מִזְבְּחֹתֶ֣יךָ

your prophets

with the sword

and [even] am left

wā·’iw·wā·ṯêr

וָֽאִוָּתֵ֤ר

and they seek

וַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּ

לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃

wə·‘ā·maḏ·tā

וְעָמַדְתָּ֣

on the mountain

and broke in pieces

וּמְשַׁבֵּ֤ר

[but] the LORD

an earthquake

[so] When Elijah [it]

’ê·lî·yā·hū,

in his mantle

bə·’ad·dar·tōw,

בְּאַדַּרְתּ֔וֹ

וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖ד

אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃

לְדַרְכְּךָ֖

when you come

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֧

[to be] king

shall you anoint

of Abel-meholah

mə·ḥō·w·lāh,

shall you anoint

in your room

תַּחְתֶּֽיךָ׃

And it shall come to pass

[that] him who escapes

from the sword

and him who escapes

wə·han·nim·lāṭ

וְהַנִּמְלָ֛ט

from the sword

and Yet I have left

wə·hiš·’ar·tî

וְהִשְׁאַרְתִּ֥י

ḇə·yiś·rā·’êl

בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

hab·bir·ka·yim,

הַבִּרְכַּ֗יִם

so he departed

and who [was]

[of oxen] before him

with the twelfth

way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr

אֵלִיָּ֙הוּ֙

וַיַּשְׁלֵ֥ךְ

אַדַּרְתּ֖וֹ

way·ya·‘ă·zōḇ

’ê·lî·yā·hū,

אֵֽלִיָּ֔הוּ

and my mother

ū·lə·’im·mî,

wə·’ê·lə·ḵāh

’a·ḥă·re·ḵā;

you And he said

And he returned back

from following him

mê·’a·ḥă·rāw

way·yiz·bā·ḥê·hū,

וַיִּזְבָּחֵ֗הוּ

and with the instruments

of the oxen them

to the people

and they did eat

way·yō·ḵê·lū;

וַיֹּאכֵ֑לוּ

and Then he arose

and ministered

way·šā·rə·ṯê·hū.

וַיְשָׁרְתֵֽהוּ׃
