wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

that they may serve Me

wə·ya·‘aḇ·ḏu·nî.

וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃

to let them go

lə·šal·lê·aḥ;

your territory

baṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm.

בַּֽצְפַרְדְּעִֽים׃

And shall teem

ṣə·p̄ar·də·‘îm

צְפַרְדְּעִים֒

and they shall go up

into your house

bə·ḇê·ṯe·ḵā,

and into your room

miš·kā·ḇə·ḵā

מִשְׁכָּבְךָ֖

miṭ·ṭā·ṯe·ḵā;

and into the house

of your servants

and on your people

ū·ḇə·‘am·me·ḵā,

וּבְעַמֶּ֔ךָ

and into your ovens

ū·ḇə·ṯan·nū·re·ḵā

וּבְתַנּוּרֶ֖יךָ

and into your kneading troughs

ū·ḇə·miš·’ă·rō·w·ṯe·ḵā.

וּבְמִשְׁאֲרוֹתֶֽיךָ׃

also on your people

ū·ḇə·‘am·mə·ḵā

וּֽבְעַמְּךָ֖

your servants

‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā;

shall come up

haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm.

הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִֽים׃

Stretch forth

with your staff

bə·maṭ·ṭe·ḵā,

han·nə·hā·rōṯ,

הַ֨נְּהָרֹ֔ת

hā·’ă·ḡam·mîm;

הָאֲגַמִּ֑ים

and cause to come up

haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm

הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֖ים

And stretched out

haṣ·ṣə·p̄ar·dê·a‘,

הַצְּפַרְדֵּ֔עַ

way·ya·‘ă·śū-

וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־

the magicians

ha·ḥăr·ṭum·mîm

הַֽחֲרְטֻמִּ֖ים

with their secret arts

bə·lā·ṭê·hem;

בְּלָטֵיהֶ֑ם

and brought up

way·ya·‘ă·lū

haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm

הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֖ים

ū·lə·’a·hă·rōn,

וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֗ן

הַעְתִּ֣ירוּ

that he may take away

haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm,

הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֔ים

and from my people

ū·mê·‘am·mî;

וּמֵֽעַמִּ֑י

and I will let go

wa·’ă·šal·lə·ḥāh

וַאֲשַׁלְּחָה֙

that they may do sacrifice

wə·yiz·bə·ḥū

וְיִזְבְּח֖וּ

shall I entreat

and for your servants

wə·la·‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā

וְלַעֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙

for your people

ū·lə·‘am·mə·ḵā,

וּֽלְעַמְּךָ֔

ha·ṣă·p̄ar·də·‘îm,

הַֽצֲפַרְדְּעִ֔ים

and your houses

ū·mib·bāt·te·ḵā;

וּמִבָּתֶּ֑יךָ

they may remain

tiš·šā·’ar·nāh.

תִּשָּׁאַֽרְנָה׃

[Be it] according to your word

kiḏ·ḇā·rə·ḵā,

כִּדְבָ֣רְךָ֔

to the end that

you may know

[is] like to the LORD

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.

אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

And shall depart

haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm,

הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֗ים

and from your houses

ū·mib·bāt·te·ḵā,

וּמִבָּ֣תֶּ֔יךָ

and from your servants

ū·mê·‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā

וּמֵעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ

and from your people

ū·mê·‘am·me·ḵā;

וּמֵעַמֶּ֑ךָ

they shall remain

tiš·šā·’ar·nāh.

תִּשָּׁאַֽרְנָה׃

And went out

wə·’a·hă·rōn

of the frogs

haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm

הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֖ים

he had brought

upon Pharaoh

lə·p̄ar·‘ōh.

according to the word

way·yā·mu·ṯū

וַיָּמֻ֙תוּ֙

haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm,

הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֔ים

the villages

ha·ḥă·ṣê·rōṯ

And they gathered together

way·yiṣ·bə·rū

וַיִּצְבְּר֥וּ

וַתִּבְאַ֖שׁ

But when saw

hā·rə·wā·ḥāh,

then he hardened

that it may become

throughout all

And they did

way·ya·‘ă·śū-

וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־

and stretched out

with his staff

ḇə·maṭ·ṭê·hū

בְמַטֵּ֙הוּ֙

of the earth

and it became

hak·kin·nām,

and in beast

ū·ḇab·bə·hê·māh;

וּבַבְּהֵמָ֑ה

throughout all

way·ya·‘ă·śū-

וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־

the magicians

ha·ḥar·ṭum·mîm

הַחַרְטֻמִּ֧ים

with their secret arts

bə·lā·ṭê·hem

בְּלָטֵיהֶ֛ם

and there were

hak·kin·nām,

and on beast

ū·ḇab·bə·hê·māh.

וּבַבְּהֵמָֽה׃

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ

the magicians

ha·ḥar·ṭum·mîm

הַֽחַרְטֻמִּים֙

but was hardened

way·ye·ḥĕ·zaq

Rise up early

in the morning

wə·hiṯ·yaṣ·ṣêḇ

וְהִתְיַצֵּב֙

he comes forth

to the water

ham·mā·yə·māh;

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

that they may serve me

wə·ya·‘aḇ·ḏu·nî.

וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃

you will let go

mə·šal·lê·aḥ

and on your servants

ū·ḇa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā

וּבַעֲבָדֶ֧יךָ

and on your people

ū·ḇə·‘am·mə·ḵā

וּֽבְעַמְּךָ֛

and into your houses

ū·ḇə·ḇāt·te·ḵā

וּבְבָתֶּ֖יךָ

swarms [of flies]

and shall be full

of the Egyptians

of swarms [of flies]

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh

But I will set apart

wə·hip̄·lê·ṯî

וְהִפְלֵיתִי֩

swarms [of flies]

to the end that

you may know

in the midst

of the earth

And I will put

וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י

And there came

a swarm [of flies]

into the house

and the houses

of his servants

and into all

was corrupted

by reason of

and for Aaron

ū·lə·’a·hă·rōn;

וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֑ן

lê·lō·hê·ḵem

לֵֽאלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם

within the land

would [that] be right

the abomination

of the Egyptians

we shall sacrifice

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū;

shall we sacrifice

the abomination

the Egyptians

before their eyes

lə·‘ê·nê·hem

לְעֵינֵיהֶ֖ם

they will stone us

yis·qə·lu·nū.

יִסְקְלֻֽנוּ׃

into the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār;

בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר

and sacrifice

wə·zā·ḇaḥ·nū

וְזָבַ֙חְנוּ֙

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū,

that you may sacrifice

ū·zə·ḇaḥ·tem

וּזְבַחְתֶּ֞ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙

in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār,

בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר

very far away

הַעְתִּ֖ירוּ

and I shall pray

wə·ha‘·tar·tî

וְהַעְתַּרְתִּ֣י

that may depart

from Pharaoh

from his servants

mê·‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw

and from his people

ū·mê·‘am·mōw

let any more

deal deceitfully

to sacrifice

And went out

וַיֶּעְתַּ֖ר

according to the word

and he removed

from Pharaoh

from his servants

mê·‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw

and from his people

ū·mê·‘am·mōw;

there remained

And hardened

וַיַּכְבֵּ֤ד

would he let go
