wat·tə·qan·nê

וַתְּקַנֵּ֥א

of her sister

ba·’ă·ḥō·ṯāh;

בַּאֲחֹתָ֑הּ

and was kindled

נַפְתָּלִֽי׃

she had stopped

and she took

šip̄·ḥā·ṯāh,

שִׁפְחָתָ֔הּ

lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ

lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ

Good fortune

and she called

lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ.

בְּאָשְׁרִ֕י

will call me blessed

’iš·šə·rū·nî

אִשְּׁר֖וּנִי

the daughers

and she called

in the field

the mandrakes

mid·dū·ḏā·’ê

מִדּוּדָאֵ֖י

And she said

a small matter

that you have taken

and would you take away

wə·lā·qa·ḥaṯ

the mandrakes

he shall lie

hal·lay·lāh,

the mandrakes

in the evening

and went out

you must come in

I have hired you

śə·ḵar·tî·ḵā,

שְׂכַרְתִּ֔יךָ

with the mandrakes

בְּדוּדָאֵ֖י

וַיִּשְׁכַּ֥ב

בַּלַּ֥יְלָה

And listened

וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע

and she conceived

lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ

has given me

I have given

to my husband

and she called

yiś·śā·š·ḵār.

יִשָּׂשכָֽר׃

and conceived

lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ

לְּיַעֲקֹֽב׃

has bestowed

dwell with me

yiz·bə·lê·nî

יִזְבְּלֵ֣נִי

will my husband

and she called

And afterwards

And remembered

וַיִּזְכֹּ֥ר

and listened

וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע

way·yip̄·taḥ

וַיִּפְתַּ֖ח

And she conceived

has taken away

חֶרְפָּתִֽי׃

And she called

And it came to pass

Send me away

šal·lə·ḥê·nî

שַׁלְּחֵ֙נִי֙

that I may go

wə·’ê·lə·ḵāh,

my own place

and to my country

ū·lə·’ar·ṣî.

וּלְאַרְצִֽי׃

I have served

and let me go

wə·’ê·lê·ḵāh;

‘ă·ḇaḏ·tî·ḵā.

עֲבַדְתִּֽיךָ׃

I have found

in your eyes

bə·‘ê·ne·ḵā;

בְּעֵינֶ֑יךָ

I have divined

נִחַ֕שְׁתִּי

that has blessed

way·ḇā·ră·ḵê·nî

וַיְבָרֲכֵ֥נִי

for your sake

biḡ·lā·le·ḵā.

בִּגְלָלֶֽךָ׃

will give it

wə·’et·tê·nāh.

וְאֶתֵּֽנָה׃

I have served

‘ă·ḇaḏ·tî·ḵā;

עֲבַדְתִּ֑יךָ

your livestock

now it is increased

way·yip̄·rōṣ

to a multitude

and has blessed

since my coming

shall provide

for my own household

shall I give

I will again

[and] keep it

I will pass through

the speckled

among the lambs

bak·kə·śā·ḇîm,

בַּכְּשָׂבִ֔ים

and the spotted

and speckled

among the goats

and shall be

[of such] my wages

and shall answer

wə·‘ā·nə·ṯāh-

my righteousness

it shall come

before your face

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā;

[are] speckled

among the goats

בָּֽעִזִּ֗ים

among the lambs

bak·kə·śā·ḇîm,

בַּכְּשָׂבִ֔ים

shall be counted stolen

according to your word

ḵiḏ·ḇā·re·ḵā.

כִדְבָרֶֽךָ׃

And he removed

the he goats

hat·tə·yā·šîm

הַתְּיָשִׁ֜ים

hā·‘ă·qud·dîm

הָֽעֲקֻדִּ֣ים

wə·haṭ·ṭə·lu·’îm,

וְהַטְּלֻאִ֗ים

the she goats

that were speckled

han·nə·qud·dō·wṯ

הַנְּקֻדּ֣וֹת

wə·haṭ·ṭə·lu·’ōṯ,

וְהַטְּלֻאֹ֔ת

among the sheep

bak·kə·śā·ḇîm;

בַּכְּשָׂבִ֑ים

and gave [them]

into the hand

himself and Jacob

wə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ,

the remainder

han·nō·w·ṯā·rōṯ.

הַנּוֹתָרֹֽת׃

way·yiq·qaḥ-

וַיִּֽקַּֽח־

and of the hazel

and chestnut tree

wə·‘er·mō·wn;

way·p̄aṣ·ṣêl

lə·ḇā·nō·wṯ,

ham·maq·lō·wṯ.

הַמַּקְלֽוֹת׃

way·yaṣ·ṣêḡ,

ham·maq·lō·wṯ

הַמַּקְלוֹת֙

he had peeled

in the gutters

bā·ro·hā·ṭîm

בָּרֳהָטִ֖ים

bə·ši·qă·ṯō·wṯ

בְּשִֽׁקֲת֣וֹת

in the watering

that they should conceive

way·yê·ḥam·nāh

וַיֵּחַ֖מְנָה

when they came

לִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃

And conceived

way·ye·ḥĕ·mū

ham·maq·lō·wṯ;

הַמַּקְל֑וֹת

and brought forth

wat·tê·laḏ·nā

וַתֵּלַ֣דְןָ

ū·ṭə·lu·’îm.

וּטְלֻאִֽים׃

and the lambs

wə·hak·kə·śā·ḇîm

וְהַכְּשָׂבִים֮

did separate

of the flocks

the streaked

in the flock

his own flocks

by themselves

And it came to pass

did conceive

the stronger

ham·quš·šā·rō·wṯ

הַמְקֻשָּׁרוֹת֒

ham·maq·lō·wṯ

הַמַּקְל֛וֹת

in the sight

of the livestock

in the gutters

bā·ro·hā·ṭîm;

בָּרֳהָטִ֑ים

that they might conceive

lə·yaḥ·mên·nāh

לְיַחְמֵ֖נָּה

by the staffs

bam·maq·lō·wṯ.

בַּמַּקְלֽוֹת׃

But if were feeble

ū·ḇə·ha·‘ă·ṭîp̄

וּבְהַעֲטִ֥יף

the livestock

he put [them]

hā·‘ă·ṭu·p̄îm

and the stronger

wə·haq·qə·šu·rîm

וְהַקְּשֻׁרִ֖ים

lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ.

And increased

way·yip̄·rōṣ

and maidservants

ū·šə·p̄ā·ḥō·wṯ

וּשְׁפָחוֹת֙

and menservants

wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm,

ū·ḡə·mal·lîm

וּגְמַלִּ֖ים

wa·ḥă·mō·rîm.

וַחֲמֹרִֽים׃
