לָרֽאוּבֵנִ֖י

and the Gadites

wə·lag·gā·ḏî;

שְׁמַרְתֶּ֔ם

of the LORD you

and have obeyed

wat·tiš·mə·‘ū

וַתִּשְׁמְע֣וּ

your brothers

but have kept

ū·šə·mar·tem

וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֕ם

of the command

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

has given rest

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙

to your brothers

la·’ă·ḥê·ḵem,

לַֽאֲחֵיכֶ֔ם

therefore now

lə·’ā·ho·lê·ḵem,

לְאָהֳלֵיכֶ֗ם

of your possession

’ă·ḥuz·zaṯ·ḵem,

אֲחֻזַּתְכֶ֔ם

of the LORD you

on the other side

hay·yar·dên.

הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

take diligent

hat·tō·w·rāh

lə·’a·hă·ḇāh

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֜ם

wə·lā·le·ḵeṯ

his commands

and to cleave

ū·lə·ḏā·ḇə·qāh-

וּלְדָבְקָה־

and to serve him

ū·lə·‘ā·ḇə·ḏōw

וּלְעָבְד֕וֹ

and with all

nap̄·šə·ḵem.

נַפְשְׁכֶֽם׃

way·ḇā·rə·ḵêm

וַֽיְבָרְכֵ֖ם

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘;

and sent them away

way·šal·lə·ḥêm,

וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֵ֔ם

and they went

way·yê·lə·ḵū

’ā·ho·lê·hem.

אָהֳלֵיהֶֽם׃

[one] Now to the half

וְלַחֲצִ֣י ׀

of the tribes

ham·naš·šeh,

הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֗ה

וּלְחֶצְי֗וֹ

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘

יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙

their brothers

הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן

sent them away

’ā·ho·lê·hem

And then he blessed

way·ḇā·ră·ḵêm.

וַיְבָרֲכֵֽם׃

and he spoke

בִּנְכָסִ֨ים

’ā·ho·lê·ḵem

אָֽהֳלֵיכֶם֙

and livestock

ū·ḇə·miq·neh

וּבְמִקְנֶ֣ה

and with gold

and with bronze

ū·ḇin·ḥō·šeṯ

וּבִנְחֹ֧שֶׁת

and with iron

ū·ḇə·ḇar·zel

וּבְבַרְזֶ֛ל

and garments

ū·ḇiś·lā·mō·wṯ

וּבִשְׂלָמ֖וֹת

of your enemies

’ō·yə·ḇê·ḵem

your brothers

and returned

way·yā·šu·ḇū

וַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּ

and departed

way·yê·lə·ḵū

the children

and the children

and the half

ham·naš·šeh,

הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֗ה

from the sons

[is] in the land

hag·gil·‘āḏ,

of their possession

’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯām

וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙

And they came

וַיְדַבְּר֥וּ

congregation

[is] you have committed

have committed

against the God

to turn away

from following

biḇ·nō·wṯ·ḵem

בִּבְנֽוֹתְכֶ֤ם

lim·rā·ḏə·ḵem

לִמְרָדְכֶ֥ם

against the LORD

[is] the iniquity

hiṭ·ṭa·har·nū

הִטַּהַ֙רְנוּ֙

and although there was

on the congregation

But that you

must turn away

from following

and it will be

against the LORD

that tomorrow

congregation

he will be angry

Notwithstanding

of your possession

’ă·ḥuz·zaṯ·ḵem,

אֲחֻזַּתְכֶ֗ם

[then] pass you over

of the possession

and take possession

wə·hê·’ā·ḥă·zū

וְהֵאָחֲז֖וּ

bə·ṯō·w·ḵê·nū;

בְּתוֹכֵ֑נוּ

against the LORD

do but rebel

biḇ·nō·ṯə·ḵem

בִּבְנֹֽתְכֶ֤ם

mib·bal·‘ă·ḏê,

מִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֔י

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.

אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

in the things

the congregation

in his iniquity

ba·‘ă·wō·nōw.

בַּעֲוֹנֽוֹ׃

Then answered

way·ya·‘ă·nū

וַֽיַּעֲנוּ֙

the children

and the children

and the half

ham·naš·šeh;

הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֑ה

way·ḏab·bə·rū,

וַֽיְדַבְּר֔וּ

to the heads

of the thousands

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

wə·yiś·rā·’êl

וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

[it be] in rebellion

in an unfaithful

against the LORD us

tō·wō·šî·‘ê·nū

תּוֹשִׁיעֵ֖נוּ

That we have build

from following

lə·ha·‘ă·lō·wṯ

burnt offering

or grain offering

let the LORD

mid·də·’ā·ḡāh

for a reason

[rather] done

your children

לְבָנֵ֙ינוּ֙

have you to do with the LORD

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

and a border

For the LORD

and between you

וּבֵינֵיכֶ֜ם

and children

hay·yar·dên,

הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

wə·hiš·bî·ṯū

וְהִשְׁבִּ֤יתוּ

so shall your children

make our children

Therefore we said

ham·miz·bê·aḥ;

הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ

for sacrifice

[may be] a witness

[is] between us

and you and between

ū·ḇê·nê·ḵem,

וּבֵינֵיכֶ֗ם

and between us

and our generations

dō·rō·w·ṯê·nū

דֹּרוֹתֵינוּ֮

that we might do

with our burnt offerings

bə·‘ō·lō·w·ṯê·nū

בְּעֹלוֹתֵ֥ינוּ

and with our sacrifices

ū·ḇiz·ḇā·ḥê·nū

וּבִזְבָחֵ֖ינוּ

and with our peace offerings

ū·ḇiš·lā·mê·nū;

וּבִשְׁלָמֵ֑ינוּ

that your children

lə·ḇā·nê·nū,

Therefore said

that it shall be

[so] they should say

our generations

דֹּרֹתֵ֖ינוּ

that we may say

wə·’ā·mar·nū

וְאָמַ֡רְנוּ

[again] Behold

of the altar

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·nū,

אֲבוֹתֵ֗ינוּ

for burnt offerings

for sacrifices

[is] a witness

[is] between you

and between me

ū·ḇê·nê·ḵem.

וּבֵינֵיכֶֽם׃

should rebel

against the LORD

from following

for grain offering

or for sacrifices

ū·lə·zā·ḇaḥ;

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū,

מִשְׁכָּנֽוֹ׃

וַיִּשְׁמַ֞ע

when Phinehas

and the princes

וּנְשִׂיאֵ֨י

of the congregation

of the thousands

had·də·ḇā·rîm,

הַ֨דְּבָרִ֔ים

the children

and the children

and the children

and it pleased

bə·‘ê·nê·hem.

בְּעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

the children

the children

ḇə·ṯō·w·ḵê·nū

that the LORD us

do committed

against the LORD

you have delivered

הִצַּלְתֶּ֛ם

the children

from the hand

And returned

and the princes

wə·han·nə·śî·’îm

וְהַנְּשִׂיאִ֡ים

from the sons

from the land

way·yā·ši·ḇū

וַיָּשִׁ֥בוּ

way·ḇā·ră·ḵū

וַיְבָרֲכ֥וּ

against them

way·yiq·rə·’ū

וַֽיִּקְרְא֛וּ
