ū·ḇə·niḇ·lā·ṯām

וּבְנִבְלָתָ֖ם

shall you eat

in the waters

wə·qaś·qe·śeṯ

וְקַשְׂקֶ֜שֶׂת

בַּיַּמִּ֛ים

and in the rivers

ū·ḇan·nə·ḥā·lîm

וּבַנְּחָלִ֖ים

הָעָזְנִיָּֽה׃

לְמִינֵֽהוּ׃

the little owl

the cormorant

the great owl

הַיַּנְשֽׁוּף׃

the white owl

hat·tin·še·meṯ

הַתִּנְשֶׁ֥מֶת

the tawny owl

the carrion vulture

ha·ḥă·sî·ḏāh,

hā·’ă·nā·p̄āh

in its kinds

had·dū·ḵî·p̄aṯ

הַדּוּכִיפַ֖ת

hā·‘ă·ṭal·lêp̄.

הָעֲטַלֵּֽף׃

[shall be] an abomination

in its kinds

לְמִינֵֽהוּ׃

an abomination

you shall be unclean

tiṭ·ṭam·mā·’ū;

תִּטַּמָּ֑אוּ

han·nō·ḡê·a‘

bə·niḇ·lā·ṯām

בְּנִבְלָתָ֖ם

shall be unclean

of their carcasses

min·niḇ·lā·ṯām;

מִנִּבְלָתָ֑ם

and be unclean

Concerning all

hab·bə·hê·māh

unclean [are]

han·nō·ḡê·a‘

shall be unclean

And whatever

ha·hō·le·ḵeṯ

han·nō·ḡê·a‘

their carcass

bə·niḇ·lā·ṯām

בְּנִבְלָתָ֖ם

shall be unclean

And he who bears

wə·han·nō·śê

וְהַנֹּשֵׂא֙

of them shall wash

and be unclean

to you [are]

among the swarming things

the mole rat

and the mouse

wə·hā·‘aḵ·bār

וְהָעַכְבָּ֖ר

and the great lizard

in its kinds

lə·mî·nê·hū.

לְמִינֵֽהוּ׃

And the gecko

wə·hā·’ă·nā·qāh

וְהָאֲנָקָ֥ה

and the monitor lizard

wə·hak·kō·aḥ

and the lizard

wə·hal·lə·ṭā·’āh;

וְהַלְּטָאָ֑ה

and the snail

wə·ha·ḥō·meṭ

and the chameleon

wə·hat·tin·šā·meṯ.

וְהַתִּנְשָֽׁמֶת׃

haṭ·ṭə·mê·’îm

הַטְּמֵאִ֥ים

han·nō·ḡê·a‘

when they are dead

shall be unclean

Also anything

when they are dead

it shall be unclean

it must be put

and it shall be unclean

so it shall be cleansed

into where which

in the midst

it shall be unclean

you shall break

תִשְׁבֹּֽרוּ׃

may be eaten

[such] water

shall be unclean

and in every

may be drunk

[such] vessel

shall be unclean

[any part] of their carcass

min·niḇ·lā·ṯām

מִנִּבְלָתָ֥ם ׀

shall be unclean

[whether it be] oven

or ranges for pots

wə·ḵî·ra·yim

they shall be broken down [are]

Nevertheless

[wherein there is] plenty

but that which touches

their carcass

bə·niḇ·lā·ṯām

בְּנִבְלָתָ֖ם

shall be unclean

min·niḇ·lā·ṯām,

מִנִּבְלָתָ֔ם

is to be sown

yiz·zā·rê·a‘;

[shall be] clean

the offspring

[any part] and of their carcass

min·niḇ·lā·ṯām

מִנִּבְלָתָ֖ם

hab·bə·hê·māh,

he who touches

han·nō·ḡê·a‘

bə·niḇ·lā·ṯāh

בְּנִבְלָתָ֖הּ

thereof shall be unclean

And he who eats

wə·hā·’ō·ḵêl

of its carcass

min·niḇ·lā·ṯāh,

מִנִּבְלָתָ֔הּ

and be unclean

and he also that bears

wə·han·nō·śê

וְהַנֹּשֵׂא֙

and be unclean

swarming thing

[shall be] an abomination

shall be eaten

and whatever

in respect to every

swarming thing

an abomination

render detestable

תְּשַׁקְּצוּ֙

nap̄·šō·ṯê·ḵem,

נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם

תִֽטַּמְּאוּ֙

and yourselves become unclean

wə·niṭ·mê·ṯem

וְנִטְמֵתֶ֖ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֒

therefore you shall sanctify yourselves

wə·hiṯ·qad·diš·tem

וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתֶּם֙

you shall be

נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם

לְהַבְדִּ֕יל
