הַשְּׁמִינִ֔י

לְדָרְיָ֑וֶשׁ

בֶּ֣רֶכְיָ֔ה

your fathers

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem

אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

has been very displeased

Therefore say you

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ;

and I will turn

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ.

as your fathers

ḵa·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem

כַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֡ם

the prophets

han·nə·ḇî·’îm

הַנְּבִיאִ֨ים

hā·ri·šō·nîm

הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֜ים

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

mid·dar·ḵê·ḵem

מִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֣ם

from your evil

[ū·ma·‘ă·lî·lê·ḵem

[וּמַעֲלִילֵיכֶם

(ū·ma·‘al·lê·ḵem

(וּמַֽעַלְלֵיכֶ֖ם

[from] and your evil

הִקְשִׁ֥יבוּ

Your fathers

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem

אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

and the prophets

wə·han·nə·ḇi·’îm,

וְהַ֨נְּבִאִ֔ים

hal·‘ō·w·lām

do they live

and my statutes

the prophets

han·nə·ḇî·’îm,

הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים

did they not

do take hold

of your fathers

’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem;

and they returned

way·yā·šū·ḇū

וַיָּשׁ֣וּבוּ

way·yō·mə·rū,

וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ

in accordance with our ways

kiḏ·rā·ḵê·nū

כִּדְרָכֵ֙ינוּ֙

and according to our doings

ū·ḵə·ma·‘ă·lā·lê·nū,

וּכְמַ֣עֲלָלֵ֔ינוּ

has he dealt

and on the four

wə·’ar·bā·‘āh

וְאַרְבָּעָ֜ה

of the eleventh

לְעַשְׁתֵּֽי־

[is] the month

lə·ḏā·rə·yā·weš;

לְדָרְיָ֑וֶשׁ

of Berechiah

be·reḵ·yā·hū,

בֶּ֣רֶכְיָ֔הוּ

hal·lay·lāh,

the myrtle trees

ha·hă·ḏas·sîm

הַהֲדַסִּ֖ים

in the bottom

bam·mə·ṣu·lāh;

בַּמְּצֻלָ֑ה

wə·’a·ḥă·rāw

[were there] him red

ū·lə·ḇā·nîm.

וּלְבָנִֽים׃

and with me said

that the angel

הַמַּלְאָךְ֙

will show you

And answered

the myrtle trees

ha·hă·ḏas·sîm

הַהֲדַסִּ֖ים

[are they] the LORD

lə·hiṯ·hal·lêḵ

לְהִתְהַלֵּ֖ךְ

through the earth

And they answered

way·ya·‘ă·nū

וַֽיַּעֲנ֞וּ

the myrtle trees

ha·hă·ḏas·sîm,

הַהֲדַסִּ֔ים

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ

We have walked to and fro

hiṯ·hal·laḵ·nū

הִתְהַלַּ֣כְנוּ

through the earth

and is at rest

wə·šō·qā·ṭeṯ.

וְשֹׁקָֽטֶת׃

Then answered

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

do have mercy on

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם

on the cities

against that

you have had indignation

And answered

הַמַּלְאָ֛ךְ

[with] with me good

and with me said

So the angel

הַמַּלְאָךְ֙

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ;

I am jealous

for Jerusalem

lî·rū·šā·lim

לִירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם

ū·lə·ṣî·yō·wn

וּלְצִיּ֖וֹן

with a great

ḡə·ḏō·w·lāh.

and very displeased

very displeased

hag·gō·w·yim

[that are] at ease

haš·ša·’ă·nan·nîm;

הַשַּֽׁאֲנַנִּ֑ים

for while I was only a little

forward the affliction

I am returned

to Jerusalem

lî·rū·šā·lim

לִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙

with compassion

bə·ra·ḥă·mîm,

בְּֽרַחֲמִ֔ים

shall be build

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ;

shall be stretched forth

yə·rū·šā·lim.

יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

be spread abroad

tə·p̄ū·ṣe·nāh

תְּפוּצֶ֥ינָה

with prosperity

bî·rū·šā·lim.

בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

Then lifted I up

qə·rā·nō·wṯ.

הַמַּלְאָ֛ךְ

with me What [are] these? And he answered

haq·qə·rā·nō·wṯ

הַקְּרָנוֹת֙

have scattered

wî·rū·šā·lām

וִירוּשָׁלָֽם׃

way·yar·’ê·nî

וַיַּרְאֵ֣נִי

la·‘ă·śō·wṯ;

And he spoke

haq·qə·rā·nō·wṯ

הַקְּרָנ֞וֹת

have scattered

do did lift up

but have come

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

lə·ha·ḥă·rîḏ

lə·yad·dō·wṯ

of the Gentiles

hag·gō·w·yim,

that lifted up

han·nō·śə·’îm

הַנֹּשְׂאִ֥ים

[their] horn

in order to scatter

lə·zā·rō·w·ṯāh.

לְזָרוֹתָֽהּ׃
