כִּסֵּא twice כִּסֵּה Job 26:9; 1 Kings 10:19 with suff. כִּסְאִי (for כִּסְּאִי); pl. כִּסְאוֹת (for כִּסְּאוֹת) m. a seat, lofty and covered with a canopy or hanging, (from the root כָּסָא, כָּסָה); hence, a royal throne, Job 36:7; 2 Samuel 3:10 fully כּ׳ הַמַּמְלָכָה 2 Samuel 7:13 כּ׳ הַמַּלְכוּת 1 Chronicles 22:10; 2 Chronicles 7:18 also that of God, Jeremiah 3:17 the tribunal of a judge, Psalms 122:5; Nehemiah 3:7 the seat of the high priest, 1 Samuel 1:9, 4:13 rarely used of a common seat, 2 Kings 4:10; Proverbs 9:14.
