2. metaph., ἐπὶ κῶμον ἐκπετασθείς wholly given up to the revel, E. Cyc. 497 (lyr.): pf. part. Pass. ἐκπεπταμένος wide open, κοῖλα καὶ ἐ. Hp. VM 22; of gaping wounds, Id. Off. 11; ἐ. τοῖς βλεφάροις Ael. Nahum 2:12.
