The eye of anyone who looks on mewill no longer see me.Your eyes will look for me, but I will be gone.

If he passed by me, I wouldn’t see him;if he went by, I wouldn’t recognize him.

Do you have eyes of flesh,or do you see as a human sees?

where then is my hope?Who can see any hope for me?

Even after my skin has been destroyed,yet I will see God in my flesh.

I will see him myself;my eyes will look at him, and not as a stranger.My heart longs within me.

The eye that saw him will see him no more,and his household will no longer see him.

Let his own eyes see his demise;let him drink from the Almighty’s wrath!

The righteous see this and rejoice;the innocent mock them, saying,
