Let the starres of the twilight thereof be darke, let it looke for light, but haue none, neither let it see the dawning of the day:

For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting downe, and are afraid.

O remember that my life is winde: mine eye shall no more see good.

The eye of him that hath seene me, shall see mee no more: thine eyes are vpon me, and I am not.

Loe, hee goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceiue him not.

Now my dayes are swifter then a Poste: they flee away, they see no good.

If I be wicked, woe vnto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift vp my head: I am full of confusion, therefore see thou mine affliction:

And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?

And though after my skin, wormes destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Whom I shal see for my selfe, and mine eyes shall beholde, and not another, though my reines bee consumed within me.

The eye also which saw him, shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.

Hee shall not see the riuers, the floods, the brookes of hony and butter.

His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drinke of the wrath of the Almightie.

Or darkenes that thou canst not see, and abundance of waters couer thee.

The righteous see it, and are glad, and the innocent laugh them to scorne.

On the left hand where hee doeth worke, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himselfe on the right hand, that I cannot see him.

Why, seeing Times are not hidden from the Almightie, doe they, that know him not, see his dayes?

The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.

Then did he see it, and declare it, he prepared it, yea and searched it out.

Doeth not he see my wayes, and count all my steps?
