But all their works they do to be seen of men: for they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders [of their garments],

But don't be called Rabbi: for one is your teacher, and all you are brothers.

But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men: for you don't enter in yourselves, neither do you allow those that are entering in to enter.

Woe to you, you blind guides, that say, Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor.

And, Whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gift that is on it, he is a debtor.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you tithe mint and anise and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these you ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but inside they are full from extortion and lack of self-control.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like whited tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all impurity.

Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

But he answered and said to them, Do you not see all these things? truly I say to you, There shall not be left here one stone on another, that shall not be thrown down.

And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not troubled: for [these things] must surely come to pass; but the end is not yet.

But all these things are the beginning of travail.

But he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved.

But woe to those that are pregnant and to those that nurse in those days!

And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

But of that day and hour knows no one, not even the angels of heaven nor even the Son, but the Father only.

But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken through.
